The South East Alpaca Group was formed in 2002,
by several owners in Kent and Sussex. We now cover the whole South
East area. The group meets about four times a year, to exchange
news and views on Alpaca matters and to hear talks by experts in
any specialist topic connected with the care, management, health,
training and life of alpacas and the shearing and processing of
their fleece. It`s current practice is to meet just before lunch
on a Sunday and to enjoy a buffet or other meal, as part of the
occasion. Visits to places of related interest are also arranged.
There is no membership fee, but a charge for those attending each
meeting is made to cover the cost of food and
drink and to leave a small surplus to cover postage and other incidental
costs.
